Quickey Connect · Windows

Turn your phone into a wireless scanner for your PC

Quickey Connect is a tiny, free helper for Windows. Run it, scan its QR from the phone, and your barcode and text scans type straight into whatever app is focused on your PC — WhatsApp Web, Excel, your billing software, anything.

Don't want to install anything? Most phones can pair as a Bluetooth keyboard instead — no PC software at all. Open Quickey → Connect → Bluetooth → Keyboard. Use Quickey Connect only when you want Wi-Fi or internet mode.

What it does

Installing & running it

Quickey Connect is a single program — there's nothing to install. Because it's a new app from a small publisher, Windows shows a one-time safety prompt the first time you run it. Here's the whole flow:

  1. Click Download for Windows above and save the file.
  2. Double-click QuickeyConnect.exe.
  3. If Windows shows "Windows protected your PC", click More info, then Run anyway. (This appears until enough people have downloaded it; it's not a virus warning.)
  4. Approve the administrator prompt — Quickey Connect needs it to type into other apps (standard for any tool that sends keystrokes).
  5. The window opens with a QR code.

Seeing "Unknown publisher"? That's expected for a newly released app and doesn't mean it's unsafe. The prompt goes away on its own as more people download it. You can always get the file only from this page, quickey.biz/download.

Connecting your phone

  1. On the phone, open Quickey → Connect → WiFi (or Internet).
  2. Point the camera at the QR code in the Quickey Connect window.
  3. It connects instantly. Approve the phone on the PC if asked.
  4. Go to the Barcode or OCR page, turn on Send to device, and scan — it types on your PC.

Want a full keyboard, trackpad and air-mouse for the PC or a TV? Use the Remote page in the app.
