Terms of Service
Last updated: 12 July 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Trustech for your use of the Quickey app and the Quickey Connect companion program. Please read them — by using Quickey, you accept them.
Please note: This is a general template written in plain English. It is not legal advice. Trustech should have these terms reviewed by a qualified lawyer for its jurisdiction before publishing or relying on them.

Quickey is an Android app published by Trustech ("we", "us", "our"). In these terms, "you" means the person or business using the app.
By downloading, installing, or using Quickey — or the Quickey Connect Windows companion program — you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. If you are using Quickey on behalf of a business, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms for that business.
2. The service
Quickey is a productivity tool for people who scan and enter data quickly. It includes:
- An offline barcode scanner;
- An OCR / text-capture tool;
- A custom on-screen keyboard;
- A floating scan bubble that works over other apps;
- A product catalog;
- A "scan to PC / TV" utility that works with the Quickey Connect program on Windows.
We may add, change, or remove features over time. Some features depend on your device's hardware (such as a working camera) and on permissions you grant.
3. Licence & acceptable use
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use Quickey for your own use, subject to these terms. This licence does not transfer any ownership of the app to you.
You agree that you will not:
- Copy, resell, rent, sub-licence, or otherwise commercially distribute the app;
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code, except where the law expressly allows it;
- Circumvent scan limits, licensing, or security features;
- Use the app to break the law, infringe others' rights, or send unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent content.
You are responsible for how you use scanned and captured data, and for following the rules of any app or service you send that data into — for example WhatsApp, your billing or inventory software, or a spreadsheet. Quickey simply helps you enter data faster; what you enter, and where, is your decision and your responsibility.
4. Purchases & subscriptions
Quickey is free to start. The free tier includes a limited number of free scans. Beyond that you can choose to:
- Watch a rewarded ad to earn a temporary scan pass; or
- Buy an optional yearly subscription for unlimited use.
Subscriptions are sold and billed through Google Play. We do not collect or process your card or payment details ourselves. Prices, renewals, cancellations, and refunds are handled under Google Play's terms and your Google account settings. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in Google Play; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period unless Google's terms say otherwise.
Because billing runs through Google Play, refund requests are subject to Google Play's refund policy. We are happy to help where we can, but we cannot override Google's decisions on payments made through their platform.
5. Third-party services
Quickey relies on services and platforms we do not control, including:
- Your device and its Android operating system;
- Google Play (distribution and billing);
- Google Play Billing (subscriptions);
- Google AdMob (ads, including rewarded ads).
These third parties have their own terms and privacy practices. We are not responsible for their services, availability, or content, and their terms apply to your use of them. If one of these services changes or becomes unavailable, some Quickey features may be affected.
6. Accessibility & the PC agent
Two Quickey features can place text into other apps or devices at your direction:
- The optional Accessibility feature, which types a scanned value into the field you have focused in another app;
- The Quickey Connect PC agent, which sends scanned values to your Windows computer or TV so they appear where your cursor is.
These features act only when you use them, and they type what you scan into the place you choose. You are responsible for what you enter and where you enter it — please make sure the target field and app are correct before scanning. To understand exactly how the Accessibility feature works and what data is handled, see our Accessibility Use page and our Privacy Policy.
7. Disclaimers
Quickey is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
We do not guarantee that scanning, OCR, or text recognition will always be accurate or complete. Barcodes, labels, and printed text can be misread. You should always verify important values — such as prices, quantities, serial numbers, and payment details — before you rely on or send them. We also do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or business, arising from your use of — or inability to use — Quickey.
Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you for any claim relating to the app will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the app in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) a nominal amount as permitted by applicable law. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under the law that applies to you.
9. Changes & termination
We may update the app and these terms from time to time. When we make material changes to these terms, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of Quickey after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
You may stop using Quickey at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or end your access if you misuse the app or breach these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — such as disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law — will continue to apply.
10. Governing law
These terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the laws of India. Trustech is based in India, and you agree that disputes will be dealt with under Indian law.
Trustech should insert the specific jurisdiction or city whose courts will handle disputes (for example, "the courts of [city], India"), and should confirm the correct governing-law and jurisdiction wording with a qualified lawyer before publishing.
